“Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words.” – Edgar Allan Poe
To instill confidence, enrich vocabulary, and nurture a love for rhythm, melody, and the magic of rhymes, an English Rhyme Recitation Competition was organized for the students of LKG and UKG on 11th September 2025 at Indian School Sohar.
The tiny tots took turns reciting a delightful variety of rhymes, showcasing excellent memorization, expressive gestures, and engaging voice modulation. The event was a joyful and memorable experience, allowing the young reciters to enjoy the lyrical charm of poetry while taking their first confident steps toward becoming expressive participants.
Such events play a vital role in helping children build self-esteem, develop language fluency, and unleash their inner performer, making learning both joyful and impactful.
The esteemed panel of judges Ms. Revathi B, Ms. Dilna Shajeeb, and Ms. Musarrat Begum were deeply impressed by the creativity, articulation, and confidence of the participants. They praised the children’s vocal clarity, gesture coordination, and emotional expression, encouraging them to continue exploring the world of language and poetry.
