A special programme was held at the Embassy of India, Oman, on the evening of 14 April 2026 to commemorate Ambedkar Jayanti. Mrs. Sanchita Varma, Principal of Indian School Sohar, delivered the keynote address on “Is Ambedkar Relevant Today?”. Through her presentation, she highlighted Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s enduring relevance in contemporary society, emphasizing constitutional values, social justice, gender equality, and inclusive growth. She also underscored his global significance, noting that his ideas on equality, dignity, and human rights continue to guide societies across the world. Students from various Indian schools shared their reflections, making the programme engaging and meaningful.
