A friendly “Bond of Friendship” Basketball Match was organized on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, at the Sohar Sports Complex, featuring a combined girls’ team from Al Tareef School and Al Safa School competing against Indian School Sohar.
The event aimed to encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie among the participating schools. The young, energetic players displayed impressive skills, determination, and enthusiasm throughout the match, making it an exciting and memorable experience for everyone present.
The ISS team was led by Hemanya Datwani, whose leadership on the court inspired her teammates. Players including Sanchi Singh, Sampriti Rana, Samanvi Sathyajith, Nirja Desai, Anusha Yadav, and Zoya Sardar contributed valuable support with their coordinated play and strong teamwork.
Such initiatives provide students with excellent exposure and help build confidence, cooperation, and a spirit of healthy competition. The match successfully strengthened bonds of friendship among the participants and highlighted the importance of sports in holistic education.
