“Beautiful handwriting is a silent expression of discipline, creativity, and perseverance.”
The English Department of Indian School Sohar organised the English Handwriting Competition 2026 for students of Classes III to V with the objective of encouraging neatness, legibility, and the development of well-formed cursive writing skills among young learners. The event aimed to instill in students the importance of good handwriting as an essential academic skill and a reflection of patience, focus, and self-expression.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all sections. The participants showcased remarkable dedication and sincerity through their carefully presented work, reflecting consistent practice and a genuine effort to enhance their handwriting skills. The entries were evaluated on the basis of neatness, legibility, uniformity in letter formation, spacing, correct spelling, and proper punctuation.
The event was coordinated by Ms. Ambili Nair and Ms. Binitha Sujith, under the able guidance of the Head of the Department, Ms. Divya Johari, and the Headmistress, Ms. Sheenam Samuel. The teachers of Classes III to V also played a significant role in motivating and guiding students through regular practice sessions and continuous encouragement.
The Principal, Vice-Principal, and the Head of the English Department appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and congratulated them on their commendable performance. The competition successfully provided a platform for students to display their talent and reinforced the importance of handwriting as both a valuable skill and an art form that reflects individuality, discipline, and dedication.
