Show and Tell is an important early childhood activity designed to nurture confidence, language development, and self-expression among children. At the foundational stage, such activities play a vital role in helping little ones overcome stage fear, enhance their vocabulary, and develop social and communication skills in a joyful and supportive environment.
Show and Tell Competition for LKG students was successfully organized at Indian School Sohar on February 12th, 2026 with great enthusiasm and cheerful participation from the young learners.
The competition provided a platform for tiny tots to speak about objects from their daily lives. Children presented objects such as a blanket, a steel bottle, a doll, toy cars, Dettol handwash, a clock, and an apple in the form of props and charts, explaining their significance and use. With bright smiles and colourful props in hand, the children expressed their ideas in simple yet meaningful sentences, winning the hearts of everyone present. Their presentation was marked by enthusiasm, clarity and adorable confidence beyond their age, making the event both fun and educational.
The competition was graced by the Assistant Vice Principal, Ms. Indira Sukumaran, Primary Headmistress, Dr. Sheenam Samuel and section Supervisor, Ms. Chitra, who appreciated the creativity and ability to express ideas of the tiny tots and the guidance provided by the teachers.
The competition was conducted by Ms. Greta D'souza. The panel of judges included Dr. Sheenam Samuel, Ms. Revathi and Ms. Musarrat Begum. The judges evaluated the participants based on confidence, clarity of speech and relevant usage of props.
The winners are:
First Position – Tiara Girdhar (LKG Rose)
Second Position – Aaiza Khan (LKG Rose)
Third Position – Dakshitha P.V. (LKG Rose)
The event concluded with cheers and applause for every child, celebrating their effort and participation. The competition proved to be a memorable and enriching experience, leaving everyone proud and inspired.
