The young learners at Indian School Sohar celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with great joy and enthusiasm as part of a special Bagless Day on 25th August 2026. The day provided the children with an opportunity to learn, create, and celebrate through enjoyable and meaningful activities.
The students of Nursery and LKG participated in a fun colouring activity and UKG
enjoyed the Bit Paper Pasting activity. The activities helped them to develop their creativity, fine motor skills, and hand eye coordination while making learning fulfilling.
The students of Class I enthusiastically participated in an Onam-themed colouring activity. They creatively coloured the given pictures using their imagination. The children enjoyed the activity and displayed great interest and enthusiasm throughout.
The students of Class II participated in a beautiful Pookalam-making activity. They worked enthusiastically with colourful flower petals to create attractive floral designs. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, and an appreciation of the traditional beauty of Onam. These engaging activities were designed to develop observation skills, enhance the understanding of colours, and keep the festive spirit alive in school. The bagless day offered a wonderful blend of learning, creativity. cultural awareness and joyful participation.
