Indian School Sohar joined the National Day celebrations of Oman by conducting a special assembly to mark the occasion. The school wore a festive look with big flags and a very specially decked uplobby. Tejas Baliga delivered a speech which highlighted the importance of the National Day. The melodious Arabic song rendered by the students won the appreciation of the audience.
A special dance performance was presented by the Omani students from Al Hikama School. The guests received a warm welcome. This cultural exchange resulted in further strengthening the bonds of friendship between India and Oman.
The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma congratulated people of Oman and coveted that their ruler may live long in perfect health and safety to take the country further ahead in the path of peace and prosperity. She thanked people of Oman for hosting the expatriates with much love, affection and respect and the Omani Staff of the school for working in perfect collaboration and co-operation. She thanked the authorities of Al Hikama School and presented them with mementoes.
The students of junior classes wearing caps having the Oman Flag tricolor depicted a picturesque drill formation which read “45th NATIONAL DAY”. The Assembly came to an end with the National Anthems of Oman and India reverberating around instilling a feeling of patriotism and a sense of pride for the motherland.
