The Earth Day was observed by Green Gyan, the Eco Club of the school by means of a special presentation during the morning assembly. A Green Thought was followed by a speech tracing the credentials of the Earth Day and marking its importance.
The various presentations threw light on the growing need of such thought provoking events. It was followed by a mime which brought out the far reaching effects of technology on nature and clearly showed how violating the laws of nature can question our very existence on earth. The economical and physiological consequences of tampering with nature were highlighted by a very realistic approach to the sensitive issue. In sync with the theme of the day, a quiz was then conducted to brush up the Eco Knowledge of the students.
The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma, then spoke to the students about their responsibility as the next generation and emphasized that their role in this regard is crucial. The message sent out to the audience was clear and resonated in all minds…..every day ought to be observed as the Earth Day!
