TIRANGA FOOD WEEK

The Health and Wellness Club of ISS, Sanjeevani, recently organized the Tiranga Food Week for the students of Class VI. About 230 students participated in the event which was held from 9th May’16 to 11th May’16.

The students had to bring home cooked multi-coloured food and they were seen participating keenly. The objective behind the event was to motivate the students towards healthy food habits and to create awareness about the advantages of a balanced diet over fast food. The various colours in diet, corresponding to various vitamins and minerals, were described to the students.

The variety rich platter, with its attractive colours and presentation, encouraged the students to consume nutritious food. The entries were judged by Dr. Vinu Kumar, Vice Principal and Mr. Kamal Gurung, HoD, Physical Education Dept.

Organized under the guidance of Mr. Ankur Chaturvedi, the week turned out to be a great success as it significantly contributed to the students’ health quotient. The colourful event was covered by the school’s photography club, Right Click, under the supervision of Mr. Gagandeep Singh.
