Hindi Poem Recitation Competition with Props for class I and II was organized at Indian School Sohar on 8th and 15th November, 2016. The enthusiastic participants mesmerized the judges in the world of poetry. The competition aimed at encouraging the use of Hindi through meaning, sound and rhythmic language of poem.
Children chose a variety of topics and props like green world, diyas, pollution, save water, value of books, moon, Indian flag, save the girl child, etc. The selection round was held in all the sections of class I and II and three students from each section were selected for the final round.
The competition was judged on the basis of relevant usage of prop, pronunciation, expressions and voice modulation. The ordinary words, flowing in extraordinary rhythm, emotions and imagination and the energy of the children was worth applauding.
