A seminar on the Hidden Agenda of NCERT syllabus, HOTS and Evaluation Question Differentiations was held on 13th November 2016, for the students and teachers of classes XI and XII.
Dr. Anup Kumar Rajput, Professor of Mathematics, Head of the department of Elementary Education, NCERT, the Resource Person for the workshop, first described the importance of understanding the NCERT text book prescribed for class XII. He strongly emphasized on the difference in less learning with understanding than learning a lot without understanding. He explained the expectations of the questions asked in the board, and the misunderstanding of the students in answering such a questions and loosing the marks with various examples. He solved and asked the students also to solve many HOTS questions and Evaluation questions.
The workshop provided more clarity to the students in preparing for the exams and answering the questions according to the need. Teachers also learned to understand the methodology of preparing the question paper and marking schemes. Doubts of the students were cleared.
Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma, said the students were fortunate to have benefitted from the expertise of Dr. Anup Kumar. She also thanked Mr. Rajat, Director, Full Marks PVT Limited for organizing the work shop and become an instrument between the school and the resource person. Memento was presented to the resource person as a token of love and appreciation.
