A Declamation contest for students of all Indian Schools in Oman was organized by the Board of Directors, Oman, as part of ‘Navin Asher Kazi Awards for Excellence in Teaching’. The contest was held on 16th November 2016 at Indian School Muscat. The theme was William Shakespeare’s works - Sonnets for the Middle section and extracts from Plays for the Senior section - to mark the 400th Death Anniversary of the great writer.
From among 14 schools, Pranav Shukla of Class X, ISS bagged the second position in the senior category. The winners declaimed the sonnets and speeches and received prizes during the award ceremony on 1st December 2016. The school congratulates Pranav on his achievement and hopes to see it being taken as a great source of motivation by other students who participate in the various inter school competitions.
