Hindi Declamation competition was held in Indian School Sohar for classes VI to VIII on 4th December 2016. Selected students from all sections participated in the finals. It was held with an intention to help the students gain confidence in public speaking.
The topics for Class VIII were Parivartan: Pragtisheel Samaj Ka Darpan and Shantidoot: Bharat. Class VII chose from the topics Computer: Aaj Ki Aavashyakta and Swachh Bharat: Ek Rashtriya Abhiyan. Class VI was given the topics Baal Shram: Ek Jatil Samasya and Vriksh Lagao: Prayavaran Bachao. The power of words was displayed by the participants as they voiced their opinion in strong and powerful words in a stiff competition, where each tried to outshine the others to best of his/her ability.
Their interest, enthusiasm and zeal was evident as they tried to improve their communication skills and learnt the new way of presenting their thoughts. The students were judged on the basis of content, presentation, language and fluency. Performances were appreciated, enjoyed and applauded.
