A special assembly was conducted on 4th January 2017 to condole the death of Mohammed Rash, a student of Class XI B in ISS. Mohammed Rash, a part of ISS for more than 10 years, met with a fatal road accident on 28th December 2016 and left a permanent void in all the lives that he had touched. The untimely death of the budding footballer and athlete has shaken the ISS family to the core.
Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma addressed the gathering and expressed grief at this irreparable loss. She urged the students to stay safe and follow traffic rules after school hours as each and every life is precious. Mr. Abraham George, President, School Managing Committee, conveyed condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the Hindu Mahajan Association, the School Managing Committee and the Principals of other Indian Schools. A two minute silence was observed to pray for the departed soul.
His classmates remembered him as a simple boy, passionate about sports and drawing. The students of Class XI B have taken the initiative, according to the guidance of the Principal, for a road safety campaign in the school, in memory of their classmate.
