Indian School Sohar held an English recitation-with-action competition on 20th February 2017.
Rhymes are meant for enjoyment. The children enjoyed the beauty of expression, thoughts, feeling, rhyme and rhythm of words. The children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The children chose a variety of rhymes for their recitation like 'I can be this', 'Judge me not' Sun and Moon' 'Water' 'Animals' etc.
It was indeed a beautiful way to express something through innocent words and actions in a melody with all smiles and giggles.
The competition helped each participant to enhance the musical and rhythmic skills and gave a boost to their confidence. The criteria for judgement was pronunciation, voice modulation, actions and expression.
The children were applauded for their efforts.
