INDIAN SCHOOL SOHAR SOARS HIGH IN CBSE-AISSCE (XII) 2016-2017

Indian School Sohar endorsed yet another delightful day of academic achievement. The exultation of accomplishment emanated at ISS campus, as students paced vividly all along the road to triumph.  In the Science stream, out of 66 students who appeared in the CBSE-All India Senior School Certificate Examinations (AISSCE) held in March/April 2017, over 25 % students secured above 90 %. The school’s vow to stand out unrivaled in academics, echoed in this year’s gleaming results.

In Science Stream, Raunak Srikant Mokhasi scoring an aggregate of  95.8 topped the school. In the Second position stood Kavya with 95.4%, closely followed by Shubh Agarwal in the third position scoring 95%.

In Commerce Stream Nidhi Dinesh Shanbhag scored 86.6 % and stood first in the stream.

Rashmi Govind scored 86% and stood second followed by Anagha Padmanabhan scoring 84.2% thus clinching the third position.

In English,33 students secured a subject high of 95%. In Informatics Practices four students scored 99% as the top most score. In Chemistry the top score is 97%,in Mathematics top score 98%,in Physics five students secured the highest score of 95% whereas in Biology the top score is 97%.In Physical Education the highest score stood at 84%

In Economics highest score is 92%, in Business Studies top score is 92% marks whereas in Accountancy and in Entrepreneurship the highest scores are 84% and 82% respectively.

Out of  88 students enrolled for class XII CBSE Board Examination, 68 % students secured 75 % and above.

Amidst jubilations and celebrations, Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma observed that the enthralling result is largely due to the deep commitment of students and their supportive family and hard work of the teachers to make all students attain soaring percentiles.

Most parents and toppers mentioned that consistent teaching, regular remedial classes and dedication of the Senior School teachers were the reasons of their academic distinction. It was indeed a sparkling display of team work and a great day of joy for the ISS Family.

President Mr. Abraham George and members of School Management Committee congratulated all outgoing Class XII students for their spectacular efforts. They acknowledged the dedication of the Principal and Senior Section teachers for their dedication and commitment to the cause of academic excellence.
