An special assembly was held on 2/10/17 in ISS to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti and to pay tribute to the warrior of truth and non -violence. The principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma , Vice-Principal Dr. Vinu Kumar and the supervisor of the primary section Ms. Alka singh paid floral tribute to the Father of the Nation. The thought for the day aptly summarized the Gandhian way of finding happiness in the smiles of the others. A spectacular skit with the contemporary costume and setup was presented by the young students deciphering the life and contribution of Mahatma Gandhi. The students enacted the various contributions and philosophies of Gandhiji with agility and ease.
The special assembly proved to be an effective method of enlightening the primary students about the role played by Mahatma Gandhi in the Indian Freedom Movement and reconstitution of the diverse nation.
