Indian School Sohar observed 68th Constitution Day on 26th November 2017, with great enthusiasm and fervour, to commemorate the adoption of constitution of India. A special assembly was organized for the day which focused on the theme of the constitution of India.
The assembly began with the prayer song followed by thought for the day, news and a quiz was put up related to the Constitution and the winners were awarded with the badges by the Principal. Ms. Tahseen Presented badges to Principal, Vice Principal and to the Supervisor.
A special speech was delivered about the adoption and implementation of Indian Constitution. Students of classes VI-VIII performed a wonderful dance and skit on “Samvidan Diwas” in which they depicted the members of the drafting committee, and highlighted the Preamble and the importance of Rights, and it was truly patriotic.
The Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma spoke about the significance of the constitution day and the importance of being a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic Country. She also spoke about the preamble of the constitution.
Banners on fundamental duties were displayed for the students. The programme was concluded with the National Anthem.
