CROSSWORD PUZZLE COMPETITION

The Computer Science Department of Indian School Sohar conducted the Cross Word Puzzle Competition for classes VI and VII on 20th November 2017 to test their “Computer Knowledge”. Crossword puzzles is a brain – consuming activity that helps to develop verbal, problem solving and logical thinking skills in a holistic approach. 

165 students participated in the competition. The students were given ‘Across’ and ‘Down’ clues to solve 30 puzzles. The parameters for judging the students were – correct spelling and maximum number of correct answers. The participants who gave the maximum number of correct answers within the time limit were declared as winners.

Aman, Shahid, S. Hareneesree of Class – VI bagged First, Second and Third positions respectively.

Rohan Suchitran, Saakshi Matale and S.Pragatheeswari of Class – VII bagged the First, Second and Third positions respectively.
