Indian School Sohar teachers and students participated in the first Laser Run Competition organized by UIPM (International Modern Pentathlon Union) and Ministry of Sports on 23rd March 2018 at the Sohar Sports Stadium.
Laser-run combines running ahead and shooting from a laser pistol. The fast paced and dynamic race includes 2-4 rounds of running and laser pistol shooting from a distance of 5 meters. The range differs according to the age and ability. Practice training session was conducted on 15th March 2018 in the school premises by the officials of UIPM.
Teachers and students displayed their shooting and running skills and came with flying colours by winning medals in all the categories. Mr. Kuldeep Singh and Mr. Gagandeep Singh won the silver medals in their categories and Sakshi Shetty,Snehal Nair,Veneela Kothari, Inspreet Singh ,Ratan Jot Kaur,Tejaswini Singh, Neeranjan, Cleetus, Pankaj, Abhi, Rohit, Sachin and Aryan Pandey won medals in student categories.
