The First Special Assembly of the New Academic Session on the occasion of Baisakhi, Vishu, Tamil New Year’s Day and Ambedkar Jayanti, was conducted on Monday 16th April 2018.
The Assembly began with a prayer song ‘Hum Ko Man Ki Shakti Dena’ sung by the students with great reverence. Vice Principal Dr. Vinu Kumar and Supervisor Ms. Indira Sukumaran offered floral tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The thought for the day motivated the students. Speeches were delivered on the festival to give the message of Baisakhi, Ambedkar Jayanti, Vishu,Tamil New Year’s Day, followed by birthday song wishing the students celebrating their birthday on that day. Quiz was conducted where students participated enthusiastically.
The choir group of class VIII B sang a joyful and melodious song on Baisakhi which enchanted the students, followed by a vibrant Punjabi folk dance and music which added to the excitement with a feel of joy and enjoyment of the festival which was enjoyed by the students.
The Vice Principal, Dr. Vinu Kumar addressed the gathering and wished them Happy Baisakhi, Vishu, Tamil New Year’s Day and Ambedkar Jayanti.
