A special assembly was conducted to mark Earth day 2018 at ISS on Sunday 22nd 2018. The whole programme was centered on various aims of the Earth Day.
The thought for the day motivated the students as well as the teachers to avoid the use of plastics. Swati Rajesh delivered a speech on the Earth day propagating the message ‘Save the environment.’ Quiz based on Earth day enhanced their knowledge about the different needs and aims of celebrating the day.
The choir group of class VIII C sang a very meaningful and melodious song on Earth day which enchanted the students. It was followed by a very cool Earth dance which added to the excitement and enlightenment of the students.
The Vice Principal, Dr. Vinu Kumar addressed the gathering and reminded them why they should be warriors for saving our planet and got assurance from the children to minimize the use of plastics. The inspiration they gained would surely enthuse them to conserve planet Earth.
