Due to the rising number of children being diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and being admitted in schools open to inclusive education, a session on ‘Understanding ADHD’ was taken by Dr. Subhadra Prabhu, Human Development Expert (School Counsellor) on 05/05/2018 for faculty members of LKG through Grade VIII of Indian School Sohar. The objective of the session was to create awareness among staff members about the causes, signs and symptoms, implications and treatment options for children with ADHD. The presentation focused primarily on the role of teachers in integrating accommodations, adaptive instruction delivery and interventions in the Educational Program so as to facilitate effective learning and promote holistic development among students with ADHD.
