“Cooking is all about people. Food is the only universal thing that really has the power to bring everyone together. No matter what culture, everywhere around the world, people get together to eat”, said Guy Fieri. The Master chef 2.0 conducted at Indian School Sohar for the staff brought forth the cuisine of different part of the world quite closer. The programme was designed specifically for showing that good diet and cooking your own meals can promote better health and give a sense of confidence. The grooming session conducted by the professional chefs, Mr. Shankar Kotian and Mr. Wilson who geared their instruction for teachers who have substantial to minimum understanding of ingredients and how to structure recipes and create meals, enabled them to present a wonderful competition. The programme attracted about 120 participants constituting 30 teams. A team of four members prepared a salad, starter, main course and dessert. The Omani cuisine presented by the Omani staff had a special attraction. The Following were the winners in different categories.

ISS Master Chef 2.0 - Gourmet Crackers
The Organiser Mrs. Indira Sukumaran commented that it is the guidance of the Principal and the support of the School Managing Committee that made the entire show successful. Mr. Dilip Ashar and Mr. Ajay Damani, Member, SMC were present and they appreciated the efforts. The Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma was amazed at the culinary skills of the teachers and she congratulated everyone. Team Omani Kitchen (Ms. Salha Hamdam, Ms. Thoriya Abdullah, Ms. Zahra Abdel Rahman and Ms. Shekha ) was given a surprise gift for their enthusiastic participation. Similarly Lazeez -A-Awwal, a team comprising only male staff (Dr. Vinukumar, Mr. Parandhaman, Mr. Rajashekaran, Mr. Sripati Bhat) was also given a surprise gift. The creative meals exhibited in a splendid way added to the attraction of the show. The variety food had a mouthwatering effect on one and all. They all had such different tastes!
