ONAM CELEBRATION 2013

On 15th September Indian School Sohar celebrated Onam with a special assembly. A group of students sang the Malayalam Onam song. “Kai kotti kali”, the Onam dance performed by the students in “settu mundu”, the typical Kerala attire was a sight to behold.

 

The appearance of King Mahabali on stage was the highlight of the programme. Some of the special prizes for various competitions were distributed by him and the winners were excited to receive from the King Mahabali.

 

Mrs. Radhika Aravindakshan enlightened the gathering with her speech on the mythological aspects of the celebration of Onam.

 

It was a grand occasion which brought "God’s Own Country" on stage for others to be part of its celebration.
