"An investment in knowledge pays the best Interest." The Department of English, ISWK hosted its maiden Inter-School English Language Quiz, ‘Linguawiz 2018’ on September 9th, 2018.

 Indian School Sohar secured the Second Position among the ten schools that participated in the quiz.  Through various interesting as well as challenging rounds, the knowledge of the participating students was put to test.

The quiz comprised of seven rounds like Spell Bee, Shakespeare Round, Activity Round based on vocabulary, Harry Potter, Smudge Round, Audio Round and finally the Rapid Fire Round testing knowledge of famous writers, Meanings of words and proverbs, Figures of speech, etc. Every round was a mix bag of questions ensuring that the teams minutely read every detail from English Language and Literature.

 The team comprising of two students Tanya Babu of Class XII and Aryan Bhadoo of Class X were awarded with a trophy and certificate each.

The participants as well as the audience enjoyed the Quiz Competition as it was an enriching experience which enabled them to enhance their knowledge through the questions asked.
