On 6th of September 2018 Indian School Sohar in association with Khimji Training Institute organized a one-day Leadership Workshop which was attended by all the members of the school cabinet. The main objectives of the programme were to provide numerous avenues for enhancing the qualities of good leadership and improve team work.
The facilitators of the workshop Mr. Nadeem Ahmad along with the co-facilitators Mrs. Manisha and Mr. Nitin took the students to various arenas of leadership quality and interpersonal skills.
Cultural Captain, Nithin Nair offered a welcoming remark, greeting all the guests and also introduced the team. This intensive leadership training session enthusiastically engaged all the participants with group activities, presentations, motivational video clips and interactive sessions. It also gave a good exposure on learning new leadership styles and improving interpersonal skills. Students thoroughly enjoyed the participation and provided a positive feedback. This workshop was indeed an exercise in motivating the young leaders to aspire for bigger goals through leadership and critical skills.
The Principal, Mrs.Sanchita Verma during her inaugural commencement emphasized on the need of such informative training programmes to build leadership qualities, confidence, resilience and responsibility, turning students into empowered, inspiring leaders. She heartfully thanked Mr. Nadeem and the school managing committee for this golden opportunity for the young leaders of the school council. Finally, Khushi Anwar, School Vice-Captain, on behalf of all the participants proposed a vote of thanks, thanking everyone who helped to make the event successful.
Mr. Kamal Prasad Gurung, HOD of the Physical Education Department supported and coordinated this event to become a success.
