English Elocution competition was held in Indian school Sohar on 4th November 2018. The students of class V participated in the same with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event served as an ideal platform for facilitating an exchange of ideas among the students fraternity. The active participants mesmerized the student audience and the judges with their vibrant oratory skills. The preliminary round was conducted in the respective classes and best three participants from each class were selected.
The main objective of conducting this competition was to enhance the oratory skills among the young children. The students spoke on different topics. The competition witnessed a neck to neck struggle of dexterous articulation between participants. The judges for the event were Mrs. Gayatri P, Mr. Brendon and Mr. Raghu Ram. The teacher in charge for the event was Mrs. Nazneen Khan.
Hannah Mariam Binu of class V B bagged the first position. The second position was shared by Anugya Mandal of V C and Tanush Kharbanda of V A. The third position was also shared by three contestants, Arnav N S of V C, Sanjita Selvakumarof V G and Shreya Sanil of V E . The judges appreciated the efforts of the participants.
To conclude, the competition served as a great confidence and morale boosting measure for all the participants.
