“English language is a work in progress. Have fun with it.", rightly quoted by Jonathan Culver. Um Salam Girls School conducted a workshop, 'ENGLISH PROFESSIONAL DAY' on Thursday, 15th November, 2018.
English Teachers of various Omani Schools were invited to attend this workshop. Two teachers of Indian School Sohar were invited as resource persons to demonstrate how English Language teaching can be fun using various teaching aids and activities which are student oriented. Ms. Divya Johari, HOD English Dept. and Ms. Francisca Menezes, Teaching Faculty English Dept., demonstrated and taught the teachers and students how to prepare models and bring creativity and fun into teaching English.
The activities were highly appreciated by the students and teachers of the Department of English. The workshop gave an opportunity to the students by encouraging them to participate in different activities like Word Puzzles, Word Grids and Grammar activities to enhance their language skills. It aimed at being a catalyst for the students to increase their language skills. It was an enriching experience for all present.
