Indian school Sohar conducted a special assembly to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Diwali on 6th November 2018.
The assembly was conducted by the students of class XI-C. The thought for the day gave a message which highlighted the spirit of Diwali. The quiz was centered on the myths associated with Diwali. Mahi Mishra gave a speech about Diwali and stressed how it celebrates the victory of good over evil. The choir sang a melody wishing everyone a “Happy Diwali”. The students were entertained by an energetic dance performance on Bhai Dhooj.
Finally, the inspiring speech of the Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma stressed on propagating the message of Diwali so that peace and goodness prevail in society.
