ENGLISH POEM RECITATION COMPETITION FOR CLASSES VI-VIII

27-11-2018

‘Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words.’

Poetry can prove to be an instrumental stepping stone for young children to develop their verbal skills and boost their confidence. Keeping this in mind the Recitation Competition for Classes VI - VIII was held at Indian School Sohar on 19th November 2018.

The event was graced with the presence of Dr. Vinu Kumar, Vice Principal, Ms. Divya Johari, Head of English Department, Ms Indira Sukumaran, Supervisor (VI-VIII). Ms Divya Johari welcomed the judges and the participants. Arzoo Saima Shaikh from class VI D hosted the event.

Children enjoy the beauty of expression, thoughts, feelings, rhythm and music of words.  Taking all these facts into consideration the participants got an opportunity to exhibit their talent with confidence.  They chose a variety of themes for their recitation and performed to the best of their ability, exhibiting great skill.
