INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY

04-03-2019

International Mother Language Day (IMLD) is observed on February 21 around the world. It’s a day to celebrate the linguistic and cultural diversity. The world has more than 7000 languages and the multilinguism is celebrated through this day. IMLD reminds us how words connect us, empower us and help us communicate our feelings to others. IMLD was first observed in 1999 by UNESCO.

The middle school section students of Indian School Sohar participated in IMLD Programme, under the guidance of Mr. Mamtaj H. Chowdhury and Mrs. Maitrayi M. Chowdhury, organized by Bangladesh School Sohar. The students and Teachers performed songs which was highly appreciated.
