'Empowering Teachers is the Key to Enhancing Education'

An orientation programme, “Multiple Assessment (Designing Multiple-Choice Questions)” was conducted for the teachers of I–XII by Mr. Yashvir Singh, the Supervisor of Secondary Section, on 27th April 2019, Saturday at Indian School Sohar.

The session started with an address by the Principal Ms.  Sanchita Verma. In her speech she laid stress on the assessment and evaluation practices of the CBSE Board. Furthermore, teachers were briefed about the Multiple Assessment, which CBSE has introduced from the academic session 2019-20.

Mr. Yashvir Singh guided the faculty members about test items, construction of MCQs, best response, distractors through a power point. Examples of MCQs were discussed. It was an interactive session & teachers after this session will be able to prepare better MCQs based question papers.

Exam In-charge Mr. Rajasekaran addressed the teachers and instructed on conduction of examination. He advised all to conduct the Periodic Tests and other assessments in a stress free environment. All the rules and regulations stipulated by the examination department must be adhered to he apprised the staff members.

Principal thanked both the resource persons for the training imparted.
