The World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year which provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals, enterprises and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment.
Keeping this in mind the Green Gyan – Eco Club of Indian School Sohar invited the staff and students to celebrate this day by planting saplings in the school premises on 27th May, 2019.
The occasion was inaugurated by the Principal, Ms Sanchita Verma together with the Supervisors and HoDs, who planted the saplings and shared their views on the protection and improvement of the environment.
The members and volunteers of the club urge everyone to consider how to bring about changes in our everyday lives in order to improve the quality of our environment and conserve it.
On this day let’s pledge to keep our host country Oman – greener and healthier.
