26-05-2019

“Colour! What a deep and mysterious language, the language of dreams.” Paul Gauguin

Colours are vibration of lights and are involved in every aspect of life. A world without colours would definitely be a dull place. Colouring is very important in the lives of children. Colouring helps in self-expression, improves motor skills, develops concentration, stimulates creativity, enhances awareness and recognition of colours, contributes to better handwriting and improves confidence and self-esteem too.

Keeping this in mind, students of class I and II at INDIAN SCHOOL SOHAR were provided a platform to showcase their creative talent. To nurture the creativity of young learners a colouring competition was organised for class I and II on 2-5-19, in which a colouring worksheet was given to all students of both the classes according to their age group. The children enjoyed this activity where they were able to exhibit their imagination, choice of colours and creativity. Ms. Sonal H. Ramaiya was the teacher incharge of the competition.

The judges were Ms. Sethu Rajeev, Ms. Greta D’Souza and Ms. Liz Renu.
