Raksha Bandhan is a festival celebrated all across the country for it perpetuates the universal value of affection and responsibility towards one’s sibling. With this spirit, students of Class V C at Indian School Sohar presented a special assembly on Monday, August 19, 2019 on the same theme. The assembly commenced with invoking the blessings of God through a prayer which was followed by the thought for the day. The students presented an enthralling dance performance on the significance of this pious festival with great enthusiasm and zeal. The essence of Raksha Bandhan was further conveyed by a wonderful speech. The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma addressed the gathering and emphasized on taking care of one’s health and safety. Ms. Smita Gondse was the teacher in charge of the assembly. The winners of various competitions such as Hindi Handwriting, Spell Bee, Sudoku, Hindi Recitation and Olympiad were rewarded with certificates. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
