To bring focus on beautiful handwriting, an English handwriting Competition was organized in Indian School Sohar on 23rd May 2019. The objective of this competition was to strengthen awareness of the importance of neat legible handwriting and encourage students to improve their writing skills.

All students of grade III-V participated in the competition. The participants were given a particular passage to write with in the given time. They meticulously wrote a page in the best of their cursive writing. An overwhelming majority of students put in all their might to perfect their writing and be on the winners list. The closely contested competition presented a challenging task for the teachers to adjudge the winners.  The assessment was done by a selected panel of teachers on the basis of legibility, joining between letters, font formation and neatness. Students had put in their best to enhance their writing skills and participated with a lot of excitement. The competition brought out the talent and creativity of the students.
