INDIAN SCHOOL SOHAR HOSTS CBSE OMAN CLUSTER BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2019

Physical Education Department of Indian School Sohar hosted the CBSE Oman Cluster Badminton Tournament on 20th and 21st October, 2019 for Boys and Girls respectively in the newly constructed Recreation Hall of the school. The Chief Guest Mr. Jaffer Ibrahim Ali Al Ajmi, Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, Directorate General of Sports Affairs in Al Batinah North Governorate, Ministry of Sports declared the Tournament Open.

Ms. Sanchita Verma, Principal, welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering. She inspired all the participating teams and motivated them to uphold the true spirit of sportsmanship. She congratulated and gave away the prizes to all the medal winners, token of appreciation and gratitude to umpires, coaches and managers.

The presence of the Mascot, Shera “Lion”, created an ambience of mirth.

Total 84 boys shuttlers and 58 girls shuttlers participated in the U 14, 17 & 19 category from ten Indian Schools in Oman.

The participants and the spectators enjoyed badminton tournament as it displayed elevated enthusiasm, strength, agility and measured movements.

The students of Indian School Sohar cheered up the players to show their competency. The programme ended with ecstatic applause for the fantastic and well organized tournament by Indian School Sohar.
