Mathematics makes our life orderly and prevents chaos. The enhancement of interest in mathematics enables the students to cope with the mathematical challenges of daily life and enable them to continue their study of mathematics in high school and beyond.
With the objective to inculcate problem solving skills among young minds, Mathematics Modelling Competition was conducted in Indian School Sohar for Class V on 17th October 2019. With the help of working models, charts and puzzles, basic elements of Mathematics were explained. The competition was conducted in two rounds. The preliminary round was held on 9th October 2019 and the final round was conducted on 17th October 2019. The enthusiastic participants prepared attractive models based on various concepts of Mathematics. They explained their models with great confidence and zeal. The judges were highly impressed by the efforts of the students. Ms. Rolfy Bijo was the teacher in charge of the competition. Congratulations to the winners. The following students are the winners:
