To inculcate the habit of eating healthy and staying healthy “Sprouts and Vegetables Day” was organized on Sunday 1st December 2019 for classes I and II by Sanjeevani the Health and Wellness Club of Indian School Sohar. Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Eating healthy food makes us energetic and provides required nutrients. The club members worked together under the guidance of Ms. Sanchita Verma (Principal), Dr. Vinu Kumar (Vice - Principal), Ms. Gauri Gadgeel (Supervisor), Mr. C. K. Sunil(in-charge) and the section co-ordinator Ms. Gayatri Mishra as a dedicated team and presented ideas to spread awareness for healthy living among children. The children got profuse support from their parents too. They brought varieties of salads with raw vegetables and sprouts. It was presented in a very colourful and attractive way.
This activity helped the children to understand the importance of vegetables and sprouts in their daily diet. It was a fruitful and a joyous learning experience for the children.
