Poetry recitation is a wonderful way to express something through innocent words and actions. It helps to develop vocabulary and improves the memory of children.
Indian School Sohar organized a Hindi Poem Recitation Competition for classes I and II on 3-12-2019 and 4-12-2019 respectively.
The main objective of the competition was to promote the students’ pronunciation and recitation abilities. The participants recited heart touching poems which were based on the current situation of the market, Indian soldier, save trees, Chandrayaan-2, Jhansi ki Rani, Mother India, Mahabharat etc.
They presented their mesmerizing performance with great zeal and enthusiasm. The judgment was done on the basis of Pronunciation, Expression and Voice modulation. The teacher in charges and the participants, under the guidance of the Supervisor Ms. Gauri Gadgeel, put forth their best efforts to make the competition a grand success.
The judges were Ms. Pallavi Pandey, Ms. Ridhi Puri, and Ms. Kavitha Yadav for class I and Ms. Smitha Gondse, Ms. Alpa Thakkar and Ms. Manjula Kaushik for class II. The in charges were Ms. Umme Khuzaima for class I and Ms. Ruchira Bora for class II.
