The existence and successful survival of Democracy in diverse conditions is the most celebrated fact about our country and constitution is its backbone. 26th of November is celebrated as Constitution Day by the government of India to reinforce the significance and importance of constitution. The occasion was celebrated in the premises of Indian School Sohar in all its solemnity. It was marked by the conduct of a Special Assembly by the students of Class X E.
The special morning assembly began with the prayer song. Thought for the day, a wise quote of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar followed by the news and quiz attracted the audience.
The song and the skit enhanced the awareness about the country’s Constitution. The worthy show was followed by an oath taking by the students based on preamble. The assembly ground echoed with the words “We the people of India…………..’’.
Dr. Vinu Kumar, Vice-Principal in his speech briefed the special features of the Indian Constitution and reminded the students about the duties of a responsible citizen of India. The programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
