Poetry Recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the latent talents of the young ones. It is a stepping stone for the young students to develop their verbal skills and to boost their confidence.

In order to develop self-expression and memorization skills, English poem Recitation Competition was organized for the students of classes III & IV on 4th December, 2019 at Indian School Sohar. The main objective of this competition was to provide recitation opportunity to every student in the class and to expand student’s experience and exposure to poetry. The young participants showcased their talent with full zeal and enthusiasm which was highly appreciated by the respected judges and teachers. The students learnt exceptional poems and recited them with proper pronunciation and intonation. Moreover they also gained self-confidence and motivation through this competition. The principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, Vice - Principal, Dr. Vinu Kumar and Section Supervisor, Ms. Alka Singh congratulated and appreciated all the participants for their outstanding performance. Ms. Areej Abrar was the teacher in- charge of the competition.

Giving a tough competition to all the participants, the students who bagged the first three positions are:

Class III

First Position  -  M. A. Aditya (III C)

Third Position  -  Abhinav  Jithish (III F)

 

Class IV

First Position  -  Nanditha  Ranjit (IV A) & Tejasvini Singh (IV F)

Second Position  -  Rakendu  Kodakkal (IV B)

Third Position  -  Anika S. Nair (IV I)
