Poetry is the expression of feelings, emotion and passion, in the best words in the best order.
When listening to rhyming songs and poems children create a mental picture, expanding their imagination. Rhyme and rhythm help kids learn and memorize. It builds confidence in children to sing, speak and express themselves in English.
With the aim to develop their expression, confidence and memorizing skill we at Indian School Sohar organized an English Poem Recitation Competition for classes LKG and UKG on 22-01-2020.
The children chose a variety of rhymes and poems for their recitation. They recited with a lot of enthusiasm and confidence. Judgement was on the basis of pronunciation, expression and voice modulation.
Our tiny tots showcased their talents with full enthusiasm. The performance of all the participants were very well appreciated by the Supervisor, Mrs. Gauri Gadgeel and the judges.
The teacher in charges were Mrs. Anita Gupta for LKG and Mrs. Sapna Ashar for UKG. Judges were Mrs. Sweety Sinha, Mrs. Santy Manesh and Mrs. Gayatri P. Karan
