The only way to learn mathematics is to do mathematics. (Paul Halmos)
Maths is logical and it should be solved with logical steps. It is important to develop the ability to do Mental Maths in children. Mental Maths is a basic tool for school aged children. This helps them to perform basic arithmetic rules at speed without using pencil or paper. Mental Maths enhances children’s ability to concentrate, stimulates interest in Maths, improves child’s self-confidence, reduces mistakes in problem solving and also stimulates both sides of the brain.
Keeping this in mind, Mental Maths Competition was held for classes I and II. The preliminary round (written) was held in all the sections of classes I and II.
