The Department of Cognitive Development and Studies, Ministry of Education, organised a function to felicitate the meritorious students of TIMSS 2011 and PIRLS 2011 in adddition to honourung schools and teachers.
Dr. Zuwaina Almaskari, Director General of Educational Evaluation gave away the prizes (Lenovo tablet) and Certificate to the outstanding achievers.

They celebrated the remarkable and outstanding achievements of international schools which have achieved above the international points average of 500 in TIMSS 2011. (TIMSS & PIRLS is conducted once in five years) The hard work and efforts that were made by the staff and students in the school were highly appreciated by the Ministry of Education officials at all levels.
It was announced that the next cycle of TIMSS & PIRLS will be held in April 2015.
