To extol achievements and brio of young and dynamic students, the assembly for Prize Distribution was held on 27 February 2020, Thursday at Indian School Sohar. It was an endeavour to acknowledge and award students for their continuing saga of glorious achievements in various fields.
The assembly commenced with a prayer song which was followed by the thought for the day. The occasion was aggrandized by warm presence of our eminent and illustrious Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma. She rewarded the certificates and the medals to the winners of various competitions: E-Quiz, Poster making, Pencil drawing, Olympiad and Sports.
Section Supervisor, Mrs. Indira Sukumaran shared with all the glad tiding of joy that our beloved Principal ma’am has added one more feather in her cap by achieving the “Navin Asher-Kazi Award” for long and meritorious service in a gracious function organized by the Board of Directors for Indian Schools in Oman at Indian School Darsait on 10 February, 2020. The Supervisor extended heartiest congratulations to the Principal on behalf of school managing committee, staff, students and parents for her exceptional recognition for rendering commendable services to the community for the cause of education as the Principal of Indian School Sohar. She was again felicitated in the assembly by our Vice-Principal, Dr. Vinu Kumar.
Then the Principal delivered a propelling speech and advised all the students to work harder in life to get sure success. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
The assembly was conducted by the students of class VI D under the guidance of class teacher Mrs. Anam Shaikh.
