“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood”

                                                                                                             -United Nations, Charter, 1945

The United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. As delineated in the Charter of the United Nations, the function of the General Assembly is to discuss, debate, and make recommendations on subjects pertaining to international peace and security, including development, human rights, international law, and the peaceful arbitration of disputes between nations.

Indian School Sohar celebrated United Nations Day virtually. The students got the opportunity to know more about the United Nations. Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma explained how UN logo was created.  Five speakers from class VIII representing different countries delivered speeches on various topics. Observing United Nations Day reaffirmed our commitment to the ideals of the United Nations.
