India celebrates Children’s day on 14th November every year as a tribute to our first prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, fondly called Chacha Nehru who was born on 14th November and shared an affectionate bond with the children.
Indian School Sohar celebrated Children’s day virtually on 12th November 2020.
This year students could not come and enjoy with their teachers, but the teachers left no stone unturned to make the day special for them on line.
A variety of programmes were presented by the teachers, which included dances, songs, and skits.
Students presented a special dance performance signifying the festival of lights Diwali.
Principal Mrs. Sanchita Verma in her address reminded the students that they are the future of the country and wished them joy and success. She also advised students to be safe in cyberspace as they are spending lot of time online.
From the student community Snehal Nair, school vice-captain proposed the vote of thanks.
Programme concluded with virtual firecrackers and Diwali wishes.
