To maintain the nation's unity and to acknowledge Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's efforts in uniting the nation, National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated every year.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed on October 31 every year. The day was introduced in 2014 by the Government of India to mark the birth anniversary of Iron Man of India - Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The National Unity Day provides an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country.
This year in a virtual celebration students paid tribute to Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and took Rashtriya Ekta Divas Pledge.
